TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - The colour pink is about to give cleaning a whole new meaning. Swiffer Sweeper and Swiffer Dusters are turning pink to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, beginning in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To assist in its vision of creating a future without breast cancer, Swiffer will be contributing proceeds from the sale of its Pink edition to the Foundation.

"Procter & Gamble proudly supports the distinguished efforts of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation," said Victoria Maybee, External Relations, Procter & Gamble. "We know that research and education can help change the lives of many, which is why P&G is contributing a minimum of $50,000 through the sale of our limited edition pink Swiffer Sweeper and Swiffer Duster."

"Creating a future without breast cancer requires tremendous effort and commitment, and we are delighted that Procter & Gamble is working in partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation to help achieve this vision" said Colleen Fleming, CEO Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Central Office.

First introduced to Canadians in 1999, Swiffer has been embraced for its ability to effectively trap and lock away dust and dirt. From the initial launch of its iconic Swiffer Sweeper to its more recent innovations like Swiffer Dusters, the brand has helped millions of Canadian homes be rid of dust and household allergens. The eye-catching limited edition pink Swiffer products will be available at retailers across Canada while quantities last. For additional details visit www.swiffer.ca.
