OTTAWA, Aug. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Medical Association (CMA)
will hold its 140th annual meeting (General Council) in Vancouver, at the
Westin Bayshore Hotel, from August 19 to 22, 2007. This year's General Council
theme is Together in partnership... the future of care.
On Monday, the CMA will release its 7th annual National Report Card which
will focus on the impact of environment on health care.
Key features of the meeting are:- Sunday: educational sessions on health and environment and information
technology issues.
- Monday: an address by the Federal Health Minister, the Honourable
Tony Clement and a strategic session on the funding of the continuum
of care.
- Tuesday: a strategic session on patient-centered collaborative care and
valedictory address by CMA's president Dr. Colin McMillan.
- Wednesday: a session on emerging issues session and delegates' motions
and the installation and speech by the next president of CMA,
