family-friendly entertainment, announced today highlights from its 2009 fall
schedule, featuring original Canadian produced series, more comedy, new
episodes of returning favourites, hit movies and special programming events.
"Our primetime comedy block continues to be a ratings success for CMT,
and this fall the popular family sitcom According to Jim will be a great

of the Wilson family in Meet The Wilsons, and track the success of Tammy and
Ali in the new series UnStable, as they struggle to build a world-class

MEET THE WILSONSPremieres: Sunday, September 20 at 9 p.m. ET
Dave and Kortney Wilson are the real deal. With the pursuit of a music
career, two small children to care for, a house to flip, a single rocker pal
who needs a place to crash, and an adoption to get ready for - life is pretty
complicated. Follow this fun loving family through laughter and tears as they
tackle their life's journey. Produced by Canada's RGK One Shot Productions in
association with CMT Canada, this eight-part half-hour series will air with
two back-to-back episodes for four weeks.
UNSTABLE
Premieres: Thursday, October 29 at 11 p.m. ET
Their mothers told them there would be days like this; days when every
penny they've invested looks lost, when friendship is bruised by business and
when dreams dry up. Follow best friends and business partners Ali, Tammy and
12 year-old daughter Alexandra, through the emotional journey of building
their business, Wendigo Farms, into a world-class equestrian show barn. With
two half-hour episodes airing each week back-to-back, this six-part CMT
original series follows these skilled young women as they are pitted against
established industry giants, the harsh challenges of daily life and their
desire to have meaningful relationships.
ACCORDING TO JIM
Premieres: Tuesday, September 15 at 9 p.m. ET
Jim (Jim Belushi) is an abrasive but lovable suburban father of five who
loves the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago
Blackhawks. Jim often finds himself in precarious situations and his laziness
leads him to search for alternative ways of doing things. While Andy might be
his best friend, Dana (Kimberley Williams-Paisley) and Jim's wife Cheryl
(Courtney Thorne-Smith) frequently manage to team up against him.
KARAOKE STAR, SEASON 3
Premieres: Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m. ET
After a cross-country audition tour, this 10-episode series hosted by
Paul McGuire is in search of karaoke fans who can sing their hearts out for a
$10,000 cast prize. One finalist from each city will be chosen by viewers via
online and text voting. In addition, candidates who missed the initial
auditions can submit videos of their performance online at CMT.ca from
Thursday, August 20 at 9 a.m. ET until Thursday, October 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET
for a chance to become a Karaoke Cyber-Star. Two Karaoke Cyber-Stars will be
chosen for a chance to compete at the series' finale in Banff, Alberta.
CMT STAR CROSSED
Premieres: Friday, September 18 at 8 p.m. ET
What do Kevin Costner, Faith Hill, Reese Witherspoon, Keith Urban and
Billy Bob Thornton all have in common? They have all walked the line between
Nashville and Hollywood with movies and music. They are Star Crossed. A fast
paced collision of showbiz worlds, this six-part half-hour series produced by
Pyramid Productions in association with CMT Canada, is a mash-up of movie
stars and guitars, ranches and red carpets.
KEVIN COSTNER & MODERN WEST: LIVE AT REVIVAL
Premieres: Saturday, September 12 at 10 p.m. ET
Oscar (R) winning actor Kevin Costner is making his mark in country
music. Nominated for a 2009 Country Music Award, Kevin Costner & Modern West
take the spotlight in CMT Canada's concert series Live at the Revival.
THE SHOW
Premieres: Friday, September 18 at 8:30 p.m. ET
This half-hour weekly magazine show hosted by CMT's Paul McGuire will
keep viewers up to date on all things country in Hollywood, Nashville and
beyond.
SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIE ON CMT
Every Saturday night beginning Saturday, September 19 at 10 p.m. ET, CMT
presents a blockbuster movie in its new Saturday night movie block hosted by
Elissa Lansdell. Highlighted titles include: Parenthood (Steve Martin), The
Bodyguard (Kevin Costner), Bull Durham (Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins), Dances
with Wolves (Kevin Costner), Mermaids (Winona Ryder) and Moonstruck (Cher).
