SAINT-HYACINTHE, QC, Feb. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Denis Lebel,
Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, took the opportunity while
in the Montérégie to announce $69,533 in repayable funding to Les Aliments
Flavio Inc. This financial assistance will enable the enterprise to purchase
equipment for its prepared meals production line.
Based in Saint-Hyacinthe for six years, Les Aliments Flavio Inc. prepares
ready-to-serve foods such as soups, sauces and salad dressings for numerous
clients in the restaurant business, the hotel industry and retail sales.
Acquiring machinery to automate food preparation will enable the enterprise to
create five new positions, bringing its staff to 13 people.
"Les Aliments Flavio is a prime example of the vitality of the Montérégie
biofood sector. Purchasing production equipment will help the company
accelerate its growth and strengthen its competitiveness. Its project will
contribute to job creation and the improved economic health of the region,
both priority goals for Canada Economic Development," said the Minister of

the Business and Regional Growth program. This component helps enterprises
which, like Les Aliments Flavio Inc., are actively working to improve
