TORONTO, July 30 /CNW/ - On Friday, July 27, 2007, Justice Herman agreed
to re-write the Pit bull Legislation by reading it down so as to eliminate the
unconstitutional parts of the definition of pit bull. The special enforcement
techniques were just struck down and were not re-written.
Clayton Ruby, counsel for the Applicant, said "We are very disappointed.
This clears the way for Ontario to begin killing pit bulls again. We will
appeal this decision to the Ontario Court of Appeal."
