pleased to provide the Quebec Cerebral Palsy Association as well as the first
winner of the "Win for a Good Cause" contest, Lina Bouthillette each with
$10,000.
Through this contest, DGI will award a total of $50,000 in prizes,
$25,000 of which is to be provided to non-profit organizations chosen by the

Ms. Bouthillette had no hesitation when it came to choosing a charity
because her grandson has cerebral palsy. She explains, "I am touched that
Desjardins General Insurance is giving this money to the Quebec Cerebral Palsy
Association because I am aware of the importance this organization plays in
the quality of life of people who live with this handicap and in that of their
families."

parents and members, thanks to the support of some one hundred devoted
volunteers. Specifically, the Association assists in social integration of
persons with cerebral palsy, in promoting and defending their rights and in
making the population aware of their situation.
For François Duchesne, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales Support at
DGI, the contest seemed an indispensable opportunity to help out and give back
to the community, "By supporting charities, DGI encourages the growth of
several causes at the same. We are proud that values such as social commitment
and giving to others are what drive our activities," he affirms.
