Keyano College Joins CEMA

FORT MCMURRAY, AB, Nov. 23 /CNW/ - The Cumulative Environmental Management Association (CEMA) announces that Keyano College has joined the Association. The CEMA Members Board voted unanimously for Keyano Membership earlier this fall. The new partnership between Keyano College, Northeastern Alberta's leading educational institution and CEMA, will provide further expertise and guidance to CEMA's ongoing research into the cumulative effects of oilsands development in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

Keyano College's recently approved membership is a positive development for our future." stated Glen Semenchuk, CEMA Executive Director "Keyano provides a unique element to the CEMA Membership as the only educational institution at our table. Their knowledge, experience and leadership are a welcome addition to our operations."

"As Keyano expands its Environmental programs, the collaboration with CEMA will help the College tackle environmental issues in the region and present solutions. CEMA is a nonprofit association based in Fort McMurray, Alberta. CEMA's mandate is to study the cumulative environmental effects of industrial development in the region and produce recommendations guidelines and management frameworks. Since its inception CEMA has produced hundreds of reports and 9 Management Frameworks.
