ADAMS TO SPEAK AT FORUM ON IRISH UNITY

TORONTO, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Gerry Adams M.P., President of Sinn Féin, will host and address a Public Forum in Toronto entitled "A United Ireland: How Do We Get There?" on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Auditorium, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, 252 Bloor Street West, Toronto beginning at 12 noon. The event is open to the media.

Among the other speakers at the Forum will be:

    The Honourable Warren Allmand, former Solicitor General of Canada;

    Charlie Angus M.P., NDP;

    Chris Axworthy, Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of
    Saskatchewan; and

    Manon Perron, Secretary/Treasurer of the Montreal executive of the
    Confederation of National Trade Unions (CSN).

The Forum has been organized to spark discussion on how the Irish diaspora can help advance the cause of Irish unity. The Forum follows similar events in New York and San Francisco earlier this year.
