Media Invitation - Gala highlighting the 35th anniversary of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF): Honouring children living with type 1 diabetes and Daniel Lavoie, spokesperson

MONTREAL, Nov. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) 35th anniversary Gala "A Cure is for Life", honouring the courage of children living with type 1 diabetes, on Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at the Windsor Ballroom. This elegant evening will be hosted by Ms. Sonia Benezra along with two youth ambassadors living with type 1 diabetes, Joelle Vineberg, age 7, and Arnaud Gagné, age 10. This magnificent event attracts over 300 of Montreal's prominent business leaders, features spectacular entertainment, a live auction and our signature Fund-a-Cure. All proceeds from this event go to fund groundbreaking research led by JDRF researchers. The fundraising goal for the evening is $435,000.

JDRF will be recognizing author-composer-performer, Daniel Lavoie, for his 20 years of dedication to JDRF as the Quebec spokesperson.
