TORONTO, May 21 /CNW/ - On May 29, Microbix Biosystems Inc. CEO William
J. Gastle will welcome the Honourable Harinder Takhar, Minister of Small
Business and Consumer Services, Honourable John Wilkinson, Minister of
Research and Innovation and Her Worship Hazel McCallion, Mayor, City of
Mississauga to the grand opening of Microbix' new head office and
manufacturing center.
Microbix is a major supplier of infectious disease biologics and is a
leader in the field of increasing the global manufacturing capacity of
influenza vaccine.
The company's VIRUSMAX(TM) technology is under evaluation for use by
several companies, and will be used to further research the H1N1 strain in the
new center.
The new Watline facility has been designed with the latest clean room,
monitoring and safety technology and will allow for up to 5 times the capacity
