WestJet guarantees its lowest price - again!

Airline reintroduces industry-leading WestJet Price Guarantee and offers
    50 per cent off seat saleCALGARY, July 16 /CNW/ - WestJet today introduced the WestJet Price
Guarantee for guests booking from today until July 23, 2009, for travel this
fall.
    The WestJet Price Guarantee is unlike any other offer in the market
because it ensures that guests are able to receive the lowest fare right up
until two hours before their flight departs. The guarantee applies to flights
booked between July 16 and July 23, 2009, for travel between September 8 and
December 16, 2009. If, after booking, a guest finds a lower fare on
westjet.com for the same WestJet flight number, date and arrival/departure
times, the difference between the fares will be placed in a credit file for
use on another WestJet flight within 12 months. The WestJet Price Guarantee is
valid up to two hours prior to a flight's departure.
    "We introduced the WestJet Price Guarantee earlier this spring because it
was clear that guests were feeling uneasy about the economy and its effect on
their travel plans," said Bob Cummings, WestJet's Executive Vice-President of
Guest Experience and Marketing. "Despite some positive economic indicators
recently, Canadians may still be feeling uncertain. For this reason, we are
once again offering our guests the chance to book with confidence, knowing
that if they find a lower price before they fly, they'll receive the
difference in a future travel credit. No other airline in Canada offers its
guests this kind of flexibility right up until the day of their flight."
    WestJet is also launching a 50 per cent off seat sale on all of its
routes system-wide for the same period. The sale is in effect from July 16 to
July 23, 2009, for travel between September 8 and December 16, 2009.
    "We are launching this seat sale at the same time as our WestJet Price
Guarantee to offer even more value to our guests," added Bob Cummings. "With
fares at half their regular price, we encourage our guests to go ahead and
book their flights with the knowledge that they are paying the lowest price."
    WestJet Vacations is also guaranteeing the lowest price on select
vacation packages to properties in five sun destinations - Punta Cana,
Varadero (Cuba), Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. Like the WestJet Price
Guarantee, these packages must be booked between July 16 and July 23, 2009,

    WestJet Price Guarantee - the small print

    This offer is valid on flights and specific WestJet Vacations packages
booked between July 16 and July 23, 2009, for travel between September 8 and
December 16, 2009, through westjet.com, westjetvacations.com, our Sales Super
Centre and participating travel agencies. This offer is only available in
relation to existing confirmed bookings for WestJet flights where the same
flight date, time and departure and arrival cities in a confirmed booking are
available on westjet.com at a lower price. Guests must call and notify WestJet
of the lower price while the price is still available online. Guests must have
their name and booking reference number available. Requests must be verified
by WestJet. Approved requests will be given a credit file for the difference
in base fare plus applicable GST/HST/QST (other fees and surcharges are
excluded) between the original purchase price and the sale price. Requests
that do not meet the criteria above will not be accepted, and no credit file
will be created. WestJet's determination as to approval of requests shall be
final. Credit files are valid for 12 months from the date of creation;
however, they are non-transferable and may not be combined with any special
