Media Advisory - Future Shop and the Toronto District School Board set to unveil $100,000 technology labs to Toronto secondary schools

TORONTO, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - Future Shop, in partnership with the Toronto
District School Board, will announce on Wednesday, September 9, a $100,000
donation to benefit two secondary schools in the Toronto School District: Marc
Garneau Collegiate Institute and Western Technical Commercial School. The
donation is one of four major donations by Future Shop's Future Generation
Tech Lab program to selected schools across the country this year.
Focusing specifically on the demand for technology and computers in
public schools, the schools were chosen based on an expressed need outlined in
the grant application. Future Shop has provided both schools with
state-of-the-art technology to help with the economic and digital divide that
is a present concern for grade 10-12 students. The Future Generation Tech Labs
will encourage youth engagement, inspiration and innovation. What: Future Shop's Future Generation Tech Lab program, in
