Alcohol, medicine cabinet pose biggest drug threats to teens: Youth using prescription pain relievers, over the counter cold medication and solvents to get high

TORONTO, Nov. 11 /CNW/ - To coincide with National Addiction Awareness Week, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) will release the results of the 2009 Ontario Student Drug Use and Health Survey (OSDUHS) at a media conference on November 18.

During the 2008-2009 school year 9,112 Ontario students in grades 7 to 12 participated in the survey, which was administered on behalf of CAMH by the Institute for Social Research, York University.

OSDUHS is Canada's longest systematic study of alcohol and drug use among youth, and the second-longest in North America.
