TORONTO, June 15 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of VisionTV (VTV)
announced today that it has entered into an agreement to sell its broadcasting
assets to ZoomerMedia Limited (ZML).
A registered charity, VTV operates the VisionTV network, an award-winning
multi-faith and multicultural channel available in nine million homes
nationwide on basic cable. It also operates the digital television service
One: the Body, Mind & Spirit channel and the conventional TV stations Joytv 10
in Vancouver and Joytv 11 in Winnipeg.
The acquisition by ZML of the VTV broadcasting assets is subject to the
approval of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission
Dale Godsoe, Chair of the Board of Directors, said the agreement ensures
that the VisionTV network and its sister stations will enjoy enhanced
prospects for growth and success.

The VTV Charity will remain in the control of the Board of Directors, who
will determine the Charity's future direction and activities.
The VTV Charity has a mandate to produce and distribute, in all formats,
content designed "to reflect and to respect Canada's faith communities and the
religious, ethical and moral concerns of those communities." The Board is
currently investigating new and innovative approaches to fulfilling this
