Autism Ontario promotes World Autism Awareness Day

TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Autism Ontario hopes for the day when every
Ontarian knows about people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their
families. With 1 in 150 children affected, 3000 Canadians are being newly
diagnosed each year.
Children with autism grow up to be adults with autism. The treatments and
supports required by children and adults with ASD and their families must be
individualized, based on respected evidence and available across the lifespan.
No one should be forgotten.
