TORONTO, Nov. 27 /CNW/ - Data & Audio Visual Enterprises Wireless Inc.
(DAVE Wireless) announced today the appointment of David Dobbin as President
of DAVE Wireless effective immediately.
"David is a proven leader with an impressive track record that makes him
ideally suited to lead our entry into the Canadian wireless market," said John

abroad, we are convinced that David's background and entrepreneurial style

Prior to joining DAVE Wireless, Dobbin was President of Toronto Hydro
Telecom Inc., the fibre optic network subsidiary of Toronto Hydro Corporation,
where he led the sale of the company in July 2008 to Cogeco Cable. He was
previously Chief Operating Officer of Telecom Ottawa, President of ShareTel
Inc. and Vice-President of Operations at BDO Watson. Early in his career, he
founded a chain of retail telecommunications stores that grew to become TELUS'
largest agent.
In addition to the appointment of Dobbin as President, DAVE Wireless has
named its senior management team.
Appointment of Executive Vice-President
DAVE Wireless also announced the appointment of Stewart Lyons as
Executive Vice-President. Lyons brings vast experience in the successful
startup and commercialization of new business ventures to his new role.
Effective immediately, Lyons will be responsible for corporate development,
human resources, customer operations and business support functions.
Instrumental in the startup of XM Satellite Radio Canada, where he served as
Executive Vice-President, Lyons played a pivotal role in launching the
business that experienced rapid growth to more than 500,000 subscribers. He
has also worked in financial services at a major Canadian investment bank.
Appointment of Vice-President of Network Operations
DAVE Wireless also announced the appointment of Sharyn Gravelle as
Vice-President of Network Operations. Effective immediately, Gravelle will be
responsible for the rollout, management, maintenance and operations of DAVE
Wireless' new mobile network. A Canadian wireless veteran, Gravelle has
constructed and planned networks for Rogers Cantel, Clearnet and Microcell.
She was also responsible for the successful roll out of the largest wireless
mesh network in North America. Most recently, Gravelle managed the
construction services division at Radian Communication Services (Canada) Ltd.,
a leading North American infrastructure and network development company.
Appointment of Vice-President of Systems Operations
DAVE Wireless also announced the appointment of Ryan Lausman as
Vice-President of Systems Operations. Effective immediately, Lausman will be
responsible for the implementation of the company's billing, operational
support, provisioning and customer management systems. Lausman possesses
significant professional services and successful startup experience, and was
also involved with the startup of XM Satellite Radio Canada. Most recently as
the head of IT of XM Satellite Radio Canada, he oversaw all customer billings
and account management as well as the installation and management of the XM
ground repeater system.
Appointment of Vice-President of Finance
DAVE Wireless also announced the appointment of Brandon Alexandroff as
Vice-President of Finance. Effective immediately, Alexandroff will be
responsible for DAVE Wireless' business planning, financial reporting and
analysis. Alexandroff previously held positions in strategy and business
planning at AIM Trimark Investments and in investment banking with Donaldson,
Lufkin & Jenrette.
