Retiree receives $2,500 gift card to spend at grocery store of her choice

TORONTO, May 14 /CNW/ - Helen Steele, the winner of the national Weetabix
Shopping Spree contest, yesterday was presented with a $2,500 gift card,
courtesy of Weetabix Canada at the Atlantic Superstore, Charlottetown.
Mrs. Steele, a long-time Charlottetown resident whose name was selected
from contest entries from across Canada, won the right to participate in a
three-minute shopping spree at the grocery store of her choice. As was her
option, Mrs. Steele chose to accept the $2,500 gift certificate from the
Atlantic Superstore, rather than complete the shopping spree.
"Thanks to Weetabix - my favorite cereal - my husband and I can look
forward to having a few more steaks this summer," said Mrs. Steele, a
grandmother of 10 and an avid quilting hobbyist.
