Communities Hold Four Days of Ceremonies to Protect the Earth and Honour

TORONTO, May 27 /CNW/ -WHAT: Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (KI), Ardoch Algonquin, and Grassy
Narrows First Nations are gathering at Queen's Park this week for
four days of traditional ceremonies to uphold our duty to protect
the land, forest, water, and air and to promote respect for our
Indigenous rights to say no to economic exploitation and
environmental destruction. The ceremonies will also honour our
brothers and sisters who are currently in Ontario's jails for
peacefully acting to protect mother earth, especially Robert
Lovelace and the KI 6, Donnie Morris, Sam McKay, Jack McKay,
Cecilia Begg, Darryl Sainnawap, Bruce Sakakeep. The gathering
continues until Thursday May 29.
