Leading Restaurant Group Offers Diners A Way to Give Back This Holiday
Season: Eat Bread, Donate to Daily Bread Food BankBURLINGTON, ON, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - This holiday season, ordering bread at SIR
Corp. restaurants will help fight hunger in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
From now until January 4th, 2009, twenty-nine of SIR's GTA restaurants will be
encouraging patrons to indulge their bread cravings for a good cause.
According to President Corey Dalton, SIR Corp. wanted to give their
valued customers an easy way to take part in something meaningful.
"We are always looking for ways to give back to the communities we serve.
In our business, we are surrounded by food every day and it is easy to forget
that hunger is such an important and devastating issue in our own backyard,"
Dalton says. "Daily Bread Food Bank is a remarkable organization addressing
the fight against hunger. We feel honoured to be able to support this great
cause this holiday season. Our bread program is a simple way for us and our
customers to do a small thing for a big cause, and we believe it is something
our guests will embrace and support wholeheartedly."Here's how SIR's GTA locations of restaurants will be putting the "dough"
into Daily Bread Food Bank's coffers:
- At downtown Toronto restaurants Far Niente(R), reds(R) and GTA
locations of Alice Fazooli's!(R) and Canyon Creek Chop House(R)(*),
guests will be invited to make a one dollar donation when they

served at the table, guests can choose to donate one dollar toward
the cause, which will be added to their bill.
- At Jack Astor's(R) Bar and Grill locations across the GTA, SIR Corp.
will make a 25-cent donation to Daily Bread Food Bank for every order
of the casual eatery's well known Jack's Garlic Pan Bread(TM) or
Cheese Garlic Pan Bread(TM). In partnership with Labatt Breweries of
Canada, Jack Astor's will also donate 25 cents from the sale of every
Stella Artois product sold.
- At Four(TM) and Petit Four(TM) Bakery in Toronto's financial
district, guests can make a 50-cent donation to Daily Bread Food Bank
when they order the Bison Burger at Four, or the Full Fare foccaccia
sandwich combination lunch at Petit Four
Guests will be made aware of the charity drive to support Daily Bread Food
