4th Annual CIRI AB Gala


    CALGARY, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Join Canadian Investor Relations Institute
Alberta Chapter (CIRI AB) members, investor relations (IR) professionals, and
the financial and media communities for a gala evening of networking and
recognition as we honour outstanding contributions to the IR profession in
Alberta.

    This year we are pleased to announce Randall J. Findlay as our keynote
speaker.
    Mr. Findlay is the past president of Provident Energy Trust and currently
is a member of Provident's board of directors. He is also a director and
trustee of TransAlta Power L.P., Canadian Helicopters Income Fund, Superior
Plus Income Fund, Pembina Pipeline Income Fund and BreitBurn Energy Partners,
L.P.
    Working in the oil and natural gas sector for over three decades, Mr.
Findlay has extensive experience working in exploration and production,
business management, finance and governance having held executive positions
with a number of energy related companies, including TransCanada Pipelines
Ltd. and NOVA.
    He is a director and chair of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation
and past chair of the ACHF major gifts campaign. He is very active in the
community and is involved with many other associations and charities.
    Last year over 250 participants from throughout Alberta were in
