in the first quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2007. While net earnings
were consistent with 2007, net earnings in 2007 increased by $1.0 million or
22.1% over the first quarter of 2006.

    Arbor Memorial Services Inc. owns 41 cemeteries, 27 crematoria, 4
reception centres located on cemetery premises and 90 funeral homes in eight
provinces of Canada.
