TORONTO, March 10 /CNW/ - Join the discussion at MaRS next week as a
panel of political and technology experts explore the pronounced and pervasive
influence of technology on politics - particularly through the growth of
social media - with an eye on the current U.S. presidential election and
upcoming Canadian federal election.
Part of MaRS' Emerging Technology series, the panel features keynote
presenter Greg Elmer, Director of the Infoscape research lab at Ryerson
University, who will discuss his research findings on the concept of the
"Permanent Campaign". An on-stage demonstration of the latest online social
media technologies from three Ontario companies will follow. The session will
