Celebrity Moustache Book honours Canadian band 'THE GUYS'

Is "Man With A Moustache" the first theme song of the literary world?

TORONTO, April 1 /CNW/ - Throughout history, films and television shows
have had their own theme songs. At no time, however, has a book come equipped
with a catchy song you can hum along to...until now.
"The Book of Bert: High-Class Stars with Some High-Class 'Stache,"
published April 1 by Triad Publishing Group, has named Toronto-based rockers
The Guys' "Man with a Moustache" as its official theme. The song was selected
by author Jon Chattman, who heard the ditty and thought it meshed nicely with
the book's concept.
"Like this book, the song moves this fuzzy fad along," said Chattman, who
runs the entertainment humour site thecheappop.com and wrote 'Bert' with
fellow moustache aficionado Rich Tarantino. "The Guys' tune is a song men can
get behind and women can dance to. I couldn't be more pleased to have it as
the book's four-minute soundtrack."
'The Book Of Bert' is a romp through moustache history featuring 25
well-known personalities profiled and ranked on their moustache integrity.
Included are words from celebrities including Canada's Michael Cera (Arrested
Development, Superbad, Juno), comedian Artie Lange (The Howard Stern Show),
The Daily Show alumni Mo Rocca, Meredith Vieira and even Canadian icon Alan
Thicke. The book's foreword is written by Hall & Oates' music legend John
Oates.
The Guys' Thomas Love said the book/song collaboration is "bringing the
literary world into the 21st century. It's an exciting and perfect fit."
"Man With A Moustache" has fast become the musical foundation for the
burgeoning moustache movement. The song is featured on the group's release
"Live The Party," which also includes the first single "Unloaded," and "Baby
Girl," recently used in a national Telus ad. The Guys, who have received
praise internationally, are known for their widely appealing sound, animated
appearances and stylish live show. They were recently showcased during
Canadian Music Week.
The act is thrilled to have their song featured with the book that has
its official launch party April 11 in New York City.
In closing, Love said: "I think together with The Guys, this book will
take over the world. Oates, The Guys, and The Book Of Bert are the future.
It's certainly a 'change' we can all believe in. Party."
