CALGARY, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Fabutan Sun Tan Studios kicks-off their annual
"Ray of Hope" fund raising campaign for breast cancer research. The fundraiser
coincides with "Breast Cancer Awareness" month.
During October, Fabutan locations across Canada, will be asking customers
to give a "Ray of Hope" to help the 1 in 9 Canadian women who are diagnosed
with breast cancer. For only $10, you can add 125 minutes to any tanning
package, and the $10 will then be donated to the Vitamin D Society for breast
cancer research.
"We are thrilled to be able to provide the Vitamin D Society with these
annual donations, as it gives Canadian researchers the opportunity to conduct
research trials on what effects increased Vitamin D levels have on Breast
Cancer," said Doug McNabb, President, Fabutan. "It's gratifying to know that
researchers are helping more than 22,400 Canadian women who will be diagnosed
with breast cancer in Canada, through their findings."
Each October, Fabutan Studios across the country have worked together to
support research done towards finding a cure for this disease. Over the past
seven years, the "Ray of Hope" campaign has contributed more than $344,000 to
breast cancer research.
