TORONTO, April 3 /CNW/ - Tie Domi attended his son's hockey game as a
father and spectator. While he and Mr. Miller had a disagreement over Mr.
Miller's coaching skills, the suggestion of an assault or threatened assault
is false and misleading. The police subsequently investigated that allegation
and found that it had no substance. Mr. Miller was dissatisfied with that
outcome and decided to report his allegations to the media with the intent of
embarrassing Mr. Domi.
Mr. Domi has instructed counsel to put Mr. Miller on notice of an
intention to seek damages for libel and slander. Mr. Miller's public campaign
to discredit Mr. Domi is actionable and will be strenuously defended.
