TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - In cooperation with CSA International, Encore
Sales of Concord, ON is announcing an important consumer safety alert
regarding "Bright Ideas" Type A (standard) light bulbs of certain ratings.
Testing by CSA International has revealed these light bulbs can create
temperatures exceeding allowable limits, potentially overheating the light
fixtures into which they are installed with a risk of fire. They also bear
counterfeit (unauthorized) registered trademarks belonging to CSA
International. Consumers should stop using them immediately.
The glass envelope of the light bulbs are printed with the name "Encore"
and a counterfeit (unauthorized) registered CSA trademark in a circle. Most
are sold in orange/yellow boxes marked: "Bright Ideas" and "Imported by Encore
Sales, Concord, Ontario L4K 3N7" also with a counterfeit CSA trademark. Some
are sold in plain white unmarked boxes. The following sizes are affected by

these light bulbs. Encore Sales imported them from China and distributed them
throughout Canada. Consumers could have purchased them at various retail
outlets.
Consumers should stop using these light bulbs immediately and discard
them or return them to their point of purchase for a refund. The importer is
