TSX VENTURE SYMBOL: HOP
TORONTO, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Telehop Communications Inc. (TSX-V - HOP) today
announced the availability of its branded "10-10-100" dial around service on
the Rogers Network. The unveiling of this service enables all Rogers Home
Phone (voice-over-cable) and Rogers circuit-switched (formerly Sprint Canada)
subscribers in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta
to use this highly popular and cost effective dial around service for long
distance calling across Canada and internationally. All long distance calling
charges made on Telehop's 10-10-100 service will appear on the customer's
monthly Rogers bill in a section "Other carrier messages, The Friend Network".
Until now, only Bell and Telus landline customers in Ontario, Quebec, British
Columbia and Alberta were able to use the Telehop 10-10-100 service.
Telehop's 10-10-100 service offers great savings for long distance calls
by offering a unique per-call rate of $0.25 for calls of up to 15 minutes
across Canada as well as to over 30 international destinations including the
USA, UK, Italy, Greece, Germany, Israel, China, and Hong Kong. This works out
to an industry best rate of $0.016 per minute to these destinations (calls to
Canada and the US are at $0.04 per minute and to the other 30 destinations at
$0.05 per minute after the initial 15 minute block). This unique offer
compliments the existing best per-minute long distance calling rates of
$0.145 per minute to the Philippines, $0.285 per minute to Guyana, $0.95 per
minute to Cuba, $0.09 per minute to India & Pakistan, and $0.18 per minute to
Sri Lanka. To view all the rates, please visit our website at www.1010100.com
Cell phone users can also avail the great savings in long distance calls
offered by Telehop's 10-10-100 by registering online at www.1010100.com for
the CELL100 service or calling Customer Service at 1-866-313-4100. This
service works with all cell phone service providers in Canada. This service
will work from anywhere in North America to any destination in the world.
The uniqueness of Telehop's 'dial around' 10-10-100 service is based on
the fact that there are no contracts to sign and customers do not need to
switch from their existing long distance provider. All 10-10-100 calling
charges appear on their existing local monthly phone bill. Compared to calling
cards, the 'dial around' or 'casual calling' service does not come with
lengthy access codes or pin numbers and does not charge customers connection
or network usage fees.
