Ryan Acquires Definitive Consulting Services
TORONTO, Sept. 5, 2014 /CNW/ -- Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect and property tax practices in North America, today announced that the Firm has acquired Definitive Consulting Services ("Definitive"). The acquisition adds a team of experienced Canadian tax professionals to provide additional knowledge and client support that strengthens the Firm's industry-leading Canadian Sales Tax practice. It also adds a large complement of respected Canadian companies to Ryan's portfolio of clients across North America.
Revenue generation and accelerated return on investment will be realized by offering Definitive clients additional access to the Firm's integrated, single-source solution of more than 45 global tax practices for improving cash flow and minimizing tax liabilities. Definitive clients will also gain exclusive access to Ryan's industry-recognized client support program of professional development courses, custom seminars, books, budget updates, multimedia information services, and fast authoritative answers to tax questions instantly through the Ryan TaxDirect® telephone tax hotline.
John Drysdale, who served as Definitive's Managing Principal, joins the Ryan executive leadership team as Vice President and will support the continued growth of the Canadian Sales Tax practice. Mr. Drysdale will also work to ensure the flawless integration of people, processes, and systems while maintaining the highest standards of client service and support.
