A Magical Holographic Experience at Ronald McDonald House BC

VANCOUVER, Sept. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - A local startup company is ready to unveil their latest project to the public, the Magic Room, a one-of-a-kind digital holographic experience built for the children staying at Ronald McDonald House BC. On September 10-11th, H+Technology invites the community to see a live demo, tour the brand new 73-family residence and enjoy food and beverages.

Although it is a free event, attendees must reserve their demo spot ahead of time as space within the Magic Room is limited. The event will take place between 5 and 8 pm on both days with live demos and house tours happening during specific time slots throughout the evening.

Ronald McDonald House operates in over 58 countries across the globe, with the BC chapter being the 5th largest in the world and the only location with a digital interactive Magic Room. Richard Pass, CEO of Ronald McDonald House BC envisioned something unique for the play space at the new house where children could fully immerse themselves and let go of worries.

Designed by H+Technology, the Magic Room uses a 3D simulated holographic character and a 2D projected environment to create a realistic interactive experience. With the first phase completed in just two months, the team at H+Technology has big ideas for the future of the Magic Room, incorporating additional programs and technological applications.
