Molson Canadian Altered States Concert Series puts music lovers in the wrong place at the right time
TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Molson Canadian is altering the live music experience by giving music fans a chance to see some of Canada's biggest acts in some of the most unexpected settings.
The Altered States Concert Series presented by Molson Canadian, in partnership with Noisey (VICE's Music Channel), kicked off with a performance by Metric and Mac DeMarco at the historic Victoria Pavilion in Calgary. The concert put the acts at the heart of a venue known more for its livestock than live music.
Now, music fans can win tickets to two upcoming Altered States concerts this September featuring bands Death From Above 1979 at a legendary Toronto landmark and electro-funk favourite, Chromeo and A-Trak at an old shipyard in Montreal.
The concerts are so exclusive that tickets cannot be purchased, only won. Those who win tickets will be the only ones to learn event venues and dates.
"The Altered States Concert Series delivers a music experience unlike any other in the unlikeliest of places," says Sadie McCann, Assistant Marketing Manager for Molson Canadian. "The few lucky attendees are used to seeing their favourite bands in conventional concert venues but now Molson Canadian is giving fans the chance to experience music in wildly unexpected places – like a cattle ring on the Stampede grounds."
