MONTRÉAL, Sept. 2, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ -Lady Luck smiled upon Ted Moses, a Nord-du-Québec resident. In fact, he is the lucky winner of the $1,000,000 grand prize that Loto-Québec was looking for after the July 11 draw of Extra.

When he came to collect his prize, Mr. Moses confided in the customer service staff that, two years ago when passing in front of Loto-Québec, he declared to his wife with a smile, "One day, we'll be visiting this building."

As luck would have it, the prophecy came true as Mr. Moses just won the $1,000,000 grand prize at Extra thanks to a ticket he purchased for a Lotto Max draw. However, the winner left his ticket in his wallet while on vacation. After seeing a news piece on TV stating that Loto Québec was looking for the owner of a million-dollar ticket purchased in Sainte-Adèle, the winner's daughter called her father to alert him of the story, as she knew he had recently visited the area. She told him that he should check to see if he had a ticket.

Mr. Moses recalled that he had, in fact, purchased a lottery ticket in Sainte-Adèle. After verification, he realized that his ticket was dated for the July 11 draw. He then went to have it checked by a retailer. To his great surprise, he saw the amount of $1,000,000 appear on the terminal screen, confirming that he held the winning combination! Mr. Moses plans on building a new home.
