Ministers Raitt and Findlay host a roundtable discussion on Canada's Asia-Pacific Gateway

VANCOUVER, July 21, 2014 /CNW/ - The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, along with the Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, Minister of National Revenue and MP for Delta—Richmond East, hosted a roundtable discussion in Vancouver today with Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative (APGCI) partners. 

The event presented an opportunity for the ministers to meet with leading members of the transportation and logistics community to discuss trends and emerging opportunities for Canada's transportation system, as well as challenges to be addressed, particularly in Western Canada. Feedback from business stakeholders on trade and transportation is an important component in the ongoing work carried out by all levels of government and the private sector to strengthen Canada's Asia-Pacific Gateway.
