Professor at HEC since1981 - Jacques Nantel joins Leger as Executive Vice President

Jacques Nantel teaches at HEC Montreal since 1981. He holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University. His research focuses on topics such as the impact of new technologies on business strategies (e-marketing), on the evolution of consumer behavior, strategies for product positioning as well as structure and market segmentation. Throughout his extensive career, Jacques Nantel has published numerous articles and co-authored several books.

He also acted as Chairman of the Omer de Serres Chair of Retailing and the RBC Financial Group Chair of e-marketing. Until May 2013 he served in the function of Secretary General of his institution. In 2000, the National Post awarded him its coveted Leadership in Management Education (awarded to the best teachers of the Schools of Canadian management). In 2002, the Montreal Marketing Association awarded him its Personality of the Year award. He has published in academic journals specific to his specialized areas of expertise, namely the Journal of E-Commerce, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research (JBR) and the Journal of Social Behavior and Personality. He has served on the boards of organizations such as Videotron, United Way of Greater Montreal, Hôtels Germain and Groupe Renaud-Bray
