TORONTO, June 16, 2014 Canada's canning season typically begins with the seasonal likes of asparagus and fiddleheads. This year, however, Canadian home canning company – Bernardin – kicks it off with #jarsfromthestars, a charitable initiative launching today in support of Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC).

Well-known Canadian celebrities, personalities and chefs have signed and filled Bernardin's limited-edition vintage-inspired green glass jars with edibles, trinkets and memorabilia resulting in one-of-a-kind collectors' editions of the iconic mason jar.

Beginning today at 4:00 p.m. EST on eBay Canada http://www.auctionjam.com/jarsfromthestars/ and running through June 26, 2014 the jars will be auctioned off to the highest bidders with all funds raised donated to CFCC.
