/R E P E A T -- Champlain Corridor: Fourth BLITZ of work on June 14 & 15, 2014/

LONGUEUIL, QC, June 10, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to advise road users that the fourth Blitz of work will take place in the Champlain Corridor, from Friday, June 13 at 9:00 p.m. to Monday, June 16 at 5:00 a.m.

This fourth, and possibly last, weekend of major work this spring will allow us to work day and night on the Champlain Bridge.

Two lanes will be kept open on the Champlain Bridge corridor for most of the weekend, except during the nights of Friday to Saturday and Sunday to Monday. View the details below.

Once this fourth BLITZ is completed, the major work BLITZES will take a break on the Champlain Bridge during the summer, while the major work on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge takes place. The BLITZ on the Champlain will resume this fall. View the 2014 Work Calendar.

However, the work under the structure of the Champlain Bridge will continue throughout the summer (pillars, beams, deck), but it will not cause major hindrances to traffic.

Also, please note that this work may be postponed due to weather conditions. A notice will be posted on our blog (champlainbridge.ca) on Friday at 3:30 p.m., taking note of the weather forecast, to advise road users whether or not the work will take place.
