Leaders in Distribution Secure "Women of the Channel" and "Power 100" Recognition
TARRYTOWN, N.Y., June 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Westcon Group, a value-added distributor of category-leading unified communications, network infrastructure, data center and security solutions with a global network of specialty resellers, today announced Executive Vice President of North America Lynn S. Murphy – as well as Chief Marketing Officer Katie Dumala -- were singled out for excellence by CRN in the magazine's "Women of the Channel" issue. Murphy was also honored as one of the most influential women in the channel via the "Power 100".
The publication's annual list highlights significant achievements of female executives within vendor, distribution, and solution provider organizations. This year's "Women of the Channel" were chosen by the editors of CRN based on the impact they're having on the advancement of the IT channel industry as a whole.
As EVP of North America, Murphy is a key member of the company's Executive Leadership Team. She has been instrumental accelerating the distributor's North American line card, signing such vendors as FireEye, VocalCom, CA Technologies and SMART in 2013. Murphy is also executive lead and sponsor for the company's Women@Westcon initiative.

Through her leadership, Westcon Group was able to successfully message the company's Security Solutions Practice and Canadian business.
