GTAA Announces Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Appointment
TORONTO, May 15, 2014 /CNW/ - Jill Sharland has been appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), effective Monday, May 26, 2014.
Jill joins the GTAA following a successful twenty year career at Rogers Communications. In her most recent role as Vice President, Finance for Rogers Wireless, Cable, and Business Solutions, she provided operational support, business analytics, performance management, and strategic planning for a portfolio of $11 billion of revenue.
During Jill's tenure at the Rogers group of companies, she also held various positions within the Rogers Wireless business, including Vice President Strategic Planning and Analysis; Vice President Finance, Wireless Operations; and Controller (Ontario Division).
Howard Eng, President and Chief Executive Officer of the GTAA stated "Jill's experience will be a tremendous advantage to Toronto Pearson. Her business acumen and analytical skills will serve this airport as we strive to meet our strategic goals and become North America's global gateway."
Jill is a Certified Management Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario.
The GTAA is the operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport, handling the most airline passengers and cargo traffic of any Canadian airport. Toronto Pearson is the second busiest airport in terms of international traffic (international and transborder) in North America. In 2013, 36.1 million passengers travelled through Toronto Pearson.
