QUEBEC CITY, May 1, 2014 /CNW/ - INO is proud to introduce its compact thermal infrared, ultra high-resolution, micro-scanned 16 348 x 12 288 pixel camera core module at SPIE DSS 2014 in Baltimore.

The HRXCAM-16K resolution is up to 16 x 16 times larger than solutions currently achievable on the market and enables distinguishing features at distances of 1 km or more. It provides unique surveillance and intelligence capabilities for increased situational awareness to the end-users.

Its microscanned system also provides a hyper-small efficient pixel pitch having a direct impact on the compactness of the system. Ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight form factor, the camera core itself weighs about 2 kg thanks to its unique catadioptric optics based on aluminum materials. Current available technologies would need optics up to 8 times larger than this camera core to achieve comparable precision with equivalent resolvable details.

Featuring a 16-bit raw signal, this camera module is especially designed for development because it provides full access to the detector configuration parameters. TECless operation minimizes module size and power consumption.

The HRXCAM-16K has numerous defense, security, military, transportation and aerospace applications, where high-resolution infrared imaging capabilities are required.

INO will be at the following events:

  • SPIE DSS 2014, May 5-9, Baltimore Convention Center, booth 1204,
  • CANSEC 2014, May 28-29, EY Center, Ottawa, booth 1534,
  • EUROSATORY 2014, June 16 -20 in Paris, France, booth 423.
