Scouts create care packages for the local homeless shelter and renovate their Lions Club

OTTAWA, April 23, 2014 /CNW/ - Scouts Canada has issued a challenge to all Canadians to join them in doing at least one good turn for someone else and asking the recipient to pay it forward for Good Turn Week from April 26 - May 4. While a good turn can be simple - like holding the door open for someone or buying a coffee for the person in line behind you - Scouts in St. Thomas and Fenelon Falls are taking it to the next level.

ST. THOMAS
The 7th St. Thomas Scouts are creating care packages of useful household items to support individuals who are starting new lives as they leave the Inn Out of the Cold homeless shelter and move into homes of their own.

FENELON FALLS/KAWARTHA
Girls and boys with the 1st Fenelon Falls Scouts Group will revitalize their local Lions Club by fixing up the interior and exterior as well as building a ramp to make it wheelchair accessible.
