Manulife Asset Management Names Michael P. Evans, CFA, as Managing Director, Portfolio Specialist, U.S. Equity
BOSTON, March 18, 2014 /CNW/ - Manulife Asset Management has named Michael P. Evans, CFA, as a Managing Director, Portfolio Specialist, with a primary focus on the firm's U.S. equity teams. Mr. Evans is based in Boston and reports to Jeffrey Santerre, CAIA, Senior Managing Director, Global Head of the Portfolio Specialist team.
"With the increase in our equity investment capabilities at Manulife Asset Management in recent years, and increased interest from our institutional clients, we are pleased to add an experienced investment professional like Mike to our organization," said Mr. Santerre. Mr. Evans brings more than 20 years of investment industry experience to his new role. Most recently, he spent ten years at Evercore Asset Management as a Senior Equity Research Analyst focusing on small- and mid-cap core investment portfolios for institutional clients. Prior to that, he worked for Gray Capital Management as a fixed income analyst/assistant portfolio manager. Mr. Evans is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He holds an MS in Finance from Boston College, and graduated from Bates College.
