MONTREAL, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - SourceKnowledge, the leading Canadian marketplace for video advertising, will be sending their CTO, Stuart MacDougall, to speak at the upcoming Dx3 conference in Toronto. The conference covers everything in digital and Stuart will be speaking on March 5th at 4pm about the Connected TV phenomenon.

Connected TV became an area of intense interest at SourceKnowledge throughout 2013. The tech team took a deep dive into the platform by developing a movie channel for the Roku streaming device and releasing it in Canada and the US in November. The channel, Movie Chick, is a place for watching trailers for new and upcoming movies and also provides quick access to showtimes using geo-location to display nearby theaters. The Movie Chick channel was developed as an experiment, but has seen some interesting early traction, garnering over 16,000 downloads in just two months, only furthering the SourceKnowledge team's interest in Connected TV.

Stuart will head to Toronto armed with all the most interesting tidbits that SourceKnowledge has collected from research and test offerings such as Movie Chick. Connected TV is changing the way viewers consume content on the biggest screen in the house and this has huge implications for what is still the largest form of ad spending.

The conference will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Center with Stuart's talk from 4-5pm on March 5th. Registration is still open at http://www.dx3canada.com/.
