With 62 snow groomers and a contract valued at 20 million, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are an international prestige project for Canadian snow groomer manufacturer PRINOTH.
GRANBY, QC, Dec. 18, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - As the official partner of Rosa
Khutor, the ski area hosting the Downhill, Super-Combined, Giant
Slalom, Slalom, and Freestyle and Snowboard races, all Olympic runs for
the alpine competitions will be prepared by PRINOTH snow groomers.
Innovative technologies, impressive milling performance and the
drivers' know-how, accumulated during numerous major sporting events,
mean that the snow groomers guarantee perfect racing slopes.
Order valued at 20 million
Production takes place in Sterzing, South Tyrol and at the North America
Headquarters in Granby, Quebec. Following the Alpine World Ski
Championships in Schladming, Sochi is the latest prestige project. "The major order shows us that people trust our technologies and that our
snow groomers are totally reliable. PRINOTH has always committed to major sporting events, and we are
pleased that our snow grooming will be used to provide the basis for

International transfer of knowledge
In order to ensure not only that the technology is problem-free, but
also that the snow groomers are used correctly and provided with the
appropriate maintenance, PRINOTH will make its knowledge of intelligent
snow grooming available and send two professional snow groomer drivers
to Rosa Khutor to ensure perfect ski slope conditions before and during
the Games. For both of them this will be a return to old haunts since
they provided the training for snow groomer drivers on site over the
past year. To ensure that the event takes place without any problems,

In order to herald the upcoming Games and to already breathe a bit of Olympic air now, PRINOTH organized an international client event in Sochi last week.
It was attended by selected clients, international officials and personalities from the Russian racing circuit such as Sergey Belikov, Vice President of Rosa Khutor, Geir Olsen, Sporting Director of Rosa Khutor and the man responsible for snow grooming at Sochi, and Mojca Ogris-Schimberg, Mountain Manager of Rosa Khutor, to name only a few. The assembled guests discussed the upcoming Games and were introduced to the PRINOTH vehicle fleet. Excitement levels were high, meaning that clients at future Winter Olympics locations could be brought on board. In Russia as well, the event attracted great interest: "The event was a total success, I'm very excited by the snow groomers and will work to organize a similar event in Gornaya Karusel as well," said Alexander Stepanchenko, Vice President of JSK Krasnaya Polyana.
