TSX Venture: TDC
VANCOUVER, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) (the
Company") today announced it has received assay results for 17 additional
diamond drillholes from Nicholas Lake. Results continue to be in line with
expectations. In addition, Tyhee has completed two diamond drillholes on its
wholly-owned BigSky Property in Yellowknife NWT. Quartz-sulphide
mineralization in shear zones were intersected below surface exposures that
had previously reported values of up to 18 grams of gold per tonne. Tyhee is
mobilizing two more diamond drills to the property (for a total of three
drills on BigSky) to test the extensive gold-bearing shear zone system
recently identified.
Nicholas Lake
Additional drillhole assay results have been received, including
70.5 metres (m) grading 1.856 grams per tonne gold (gpt) including 11.0 m
grading 7.800 gpt gold in N096, as well as 6.5 m grading 8.239 gpt gold in
NU033. Significant tungsten values continue to be returned including 14.0 m
grading 0.302% WO(3) in NU018 and 7.5 m grading 0.832% WO(3) in NU027. These
holes had been drilled previously, but not sampled in their entirety.Table 1. Recent results from the resampling of Nicholas Lake Main Zone.

Tyhee has completed two diamond drillholes totaling 259 metres at the
south-end of a four kilometre (km) long shear zone system that is up to
500 metres wide, defined by a network of subparallel and anastomosing schist
zones. These diamond drillholes were designed to test a portion of the shear
zone that transects pillowed metavolcanic rocks of the Kam Group. Previously
reported grab samples from surface exposures returned gold values up to
18 grams per tonne (gpt). Drillhole B001 intersected four individual shear
zones including one which contained 8.1 metres of altered, silicified and
quartz veined schist containing minor pyrite, pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite,
sphalerite and chalcopyrite mineralization. Drillhole B002 testing 15 metres
below drillhole B001, intersected similar rocks with more extensive alteration
and arsenopyrite concentrations up to 10%. These rocks have been submitted for
assays and the results will be released upon receipt.
Dave Webb, Tyhee's President and CEO said "the size and extent of the
shear zone system, together with the initial gold values returned from the
summer mapping and sampling program are very encouraging. These shear zones
extend northward from the past producing Giant Mine property. All previous
gold production from the Giant and Con Mine properties was from shear zones
that are similar in form, orientation, and mineralogy to those found on the
BigSky Property. Our work has found elevated gold values in grab samples
collected from different parts of these shear zones over a 4 km strike length,
and our current drill program represents the first diamond drillholes
completed in this area since 1946."
"The property is within sight (and cell phone range) of the office towers
in Yellowknife, and is only a few hundred metres west of the Bluefish
hydroelectric power plant. These first diamond drillholes confirm that the
mineralization observed on surface extends to depth across material widths. We
have requested two additional diamond drills from our drill contractor, one of
which has been mobilized and is en-route to the BigSky Property. Our plan is
to test the entire extent of the shear zone system in a first pass and then to
follow-up on the better mineralized portions."
Mineralized rocks or mineralization refers to hydrothermally-altered
rocks and has been determined by visual inspection, and may include quartz,
sericite, carbonate, various sulphide and sulphosalt species. Precious metals,
including gold cannot be assumed to be present in mineralized rocks.
About Tyhee Development Corp.
Tyhee Development Corp. is a gold exploration and development company
currently focused on the historic Yellowknife Gold Camp, NWT, Canada. It is
the largest property holder in the historic camp, and has the largest
exploration and development program underway in the region. Its principal
asset is the advanced-stage Yellowknife Gold Project, which consists of
6,625 hectares (15,481 acres) of mining leases located 90 km (56 miles) north
of Yellowknife, NWT, Canada. Additional gold properties have been acquired
within the Yellowknife Gold Belt and exploration of these targets is
continuing.
Portions of the work reported in this release are in part financed
through placements completed with the MineralFields Group.
Sample Analysis and QA/QC Program
Tyhee completed fire assays on samples using 30 gram aliquots with ICP-ES
finish for gold analyses, prepared at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in
Yellowknife, and finished at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in Vancouver. A
semi-quantitative multi-element analysis is run on 0.5 gm aliquot samples
leached in a hot aqua regia solution and measured using ICP-ES techniques.
Tyhee conducts a rigorous QA/QC program of inserting blanks and duplicates in
the field and standards in the laboratory. The laboratory also conducted their
own independent QA/QC program including inserting their own standards and
re-running samples from pulped material and reject material. These results
were provided to Tyhee. All standards, duplicates, blanks and check assays
returned acceptable results. Dr. D.R. Webb, Ph.D., P.Geol., the designated QP
within the meaning of NI 43-101, has reviewed this release and approves of its
content.
