Turkish Airlines Canada Embraces Social Media with Press Trip to Istanbul
TORONTO, Aug. 20, 2013 /CNW/ - On July 29th to August 3rd, Turkish Airlines Canada selected six Canadian bloggers and editors and hosted a five-day trip to Istanbul, Turkey from Toronto. Attendees represented a mixture of both traditional and online publications with editors from ELLE Canada, Travel and Escape, Toronto Standard, KENTON Magazine and two bloggers, all with large social media followings.
The trip was the first of its kind within the Turkish Airlines.

Guests were asked to use the #TOtoTurkey hashtag throughout the trip. The hashtag received nearly 5.5 million impressions on Twitter between the dates of July 28th-August 4th.
