OACC launches new name and logo

BRANTFORD, ON, June 28, 2013 /CNW/ - The Ontario Association of Career Colleges (OACC) is excited to announce the launch of its new name and brand. On July 1st, OACC will officially become Career Colleges Ontario (CCO).

CCO Board Chair Dean Tremain said this change will better reflect the association's purpose.

"The Ontario Association of Career Colleges is changing its name to Career Colleges Ontario to better represent a brand that signifies advocacy and province wide representation in the Ontario education sector," he said. "We will remain a member driven association but with a stronger mandate on lobbying for student choice and quality driven membership within the Career College sector that provides Ontario students with a better variety of options for postsecondary education and training."

The association's new website can be accessed here as of July 1st: www.careercollegesontario.ca.

OACC was established in 1973 and currently represents over 280 career college campuses and their students across Ontario. The province's career college sector provides hands-on training to over 67,000 students every year, employs over 12,000 staff, saves the taxpayers of Ontario more than $1 billion annually, and generates over $94 million in business and payroll taxes.
