Intel'eau acquisition by Pumpaction marks launch of integrated water treatment service
POINTE-CLAIRE, QC, March 20, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Pumpaction, a leader in the field of pumping and concreting systems for almost 35 years, recently acquired Traitements Intel'eau, a Saguenay-based supplier of water treatment services. The new entity thus created, Pumpaction | Intel'eau, represents the attainment of a key objective in Pumpaction's business strategy.
"The technology behind water treatment systems is becoming increasingly more intelligent and sophisticated, which calls for multi-disciplinary expertise. Companies and municipalities therefore need a highly qualified partner - now more than ever - that can help complement their in-house expertise," explained Yannick Beaulé, Managing Director of Pumpaction. "Our acquisition of Traitements Intel'eau positions to offer integrated water treatment systems and to share our knowledge with our clients."
Pumpaction | Intel'eau will be primarily involved in determining the right quantities of chemical products required for drinking water production - a process calling for extreme accuracy that can only be adequately performed using state-of-the-art technology handled by expert specialists.
As such, the company's clients will enjoy the peace of mind that, until now, remained somewhat elusive given the array of components, responsibilities and unpredictable factors. "What we now offer is a complete, fully integrated maintenance program and after-sales service, enabling prevention and avoidance of breaks and other technical problems, while achieving significant short- and long-term savings, and helping save the environment," added Beaulé.
Pumpaction | Intel'eau will be able to draw on the experience of a team of specialists trained by the ministère de l'Éducation and accredited by the ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement, de la Faune et des Parcs (MDDEFP).
Pumpaction, founded in 1979, specializes in all integrated activities and services related to water treatment and pumping systems, as well as concrete production. Headquartered in Pointe-Claire, the company's workforce of approximately 100 employees is also based in Quebec City, Val-d'Or and the United States. Pumpaction's mission is to offer high-quality pumping and concreting systems that are adapted to its clients' needs.
In 2012, Pumpaction acquired Traitements Intel'eau, a Saguenay-based company specializing in the design, manufacture and maintenance of water treatment systems, as well as after-sales service. Following this move, a new entity named Pumpaction | Intel'eau was formed.
