TORONTO, March 9, 2013 /CNW/ - New electrical switchgear is being prepared for installation into an underground vault.  The process is complicated and customers in the Thorncliffe Park area have been without power for over 24 hours.  This equipment dates back to the former East York Hydro and today, its replacement is worth about $65,000.  Crews will continue to work until power is restored.
