Health Canada - Notice to Media

OTTAWA, Jan. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - In line with Québec Tobacco-Free Week, a Health Canada expert will be visiting a Pierrefonds home to unveil the secrets of a successful radon mitigation procedure; radon being the second leading cause of lung cancer in Canada after tobacco smoking.

People who smoke and are exposed to elevated levels of radon have a significantly increased risk of developing lung cancer!

A representative from the Quebec Lung Association will also attend.

Representatives will be available to answer questions from the media following a demonstration of testing and remedial measures.
