OTTAWA, Dec. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Two-thirds of Canadians say they are not prepared to take care of themselves and their families in an emergency. With discussions of doomsday predictions prevalent in Canadian media today, the Red Cross is encouraging Canadians to use this week of heightened awareness to prepare for other, more realistic, emergencies. Canadian Red Cross emergency response and preparedness experts are available to share tips and help families prepare for disasters.
