Misfit Unveils Shine: World's First All-Metal Wireless Fitness Device
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 14, 2012 /CNW/ - Misfit Wearables unveiled its first product, the Misfit Shine, a beautiful wireless, physical activity tracker today on Indiegogo:
BOLD DESIGN: The Misfit Shine is an elegant all-metal disc with a beautiful halo of lights. Just place it on an iPhone and it syncs, even in airplane mode. No buttons, no cables, no Bluetooth pairing, no recharging.
SMART: More than just step-counting - the Misfit Shine tracks cycling and swimming too so get more credit where credit is due. Tap to see progress towards your daily activity goal. Set personalized goals, visualize data, and get insights on how you're doing.
WEARABLE: Only slightly larger than a quarter, the Misfit Shine can be worn just about anywhere, even when wearing next to nothing. On your wrist, shoe, ankle, bra, hip, as a broach, wherever you want.
PRECIOUS: The Misfit Shine was made to last a lifetime and designed to complement any fashion statement. Carved out of a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, it is super strong and waterproof.
The Misfit Shine comes with a clasp so you can easily wear it, and will retail in the spring of 2013 for $99; early adopters' units will ship in March. A sports wristband will retail at $19 and a stylish leather band for $49. An experimental alpha version of the Misfit Shine App is available in the iTunes App Store, with new builds coming every three weeks.
